Help! Deleted firmware from my mp3 player.

I think that's what it is called (i'm sure you'll correct me if i'm wrong).

My mp3 player was playing up a bit, things wern't downloading on to it properrly. I tried sorting it out, and in the process deleted the firmware. Which I now know was probably the wrong thing to do.

I have googled this and have downloaded some things to try to sort it out, I don't know if these are any good though. When I connect my mp3 to my laptop it says it hasn't connected.

Could anyone help me with this? I really need it.

It's a creative zen micro photo 32gb.

Thanks

Re: Help! Deleted firmware from my mp3 player.

I wouldnt have thought you have deleted the firmware. This is effectively the operating system for the device and is normally well hidden from casual browsers. I have no experience of this device, but can you not do a factory reset on the device? User guide here..

There is also some advice here

of how to get into recovery mode.

Hi mate, have you tried going into the device manager on your laptop?

If not go into it and find your zen, right click on it and select uninstall.

When you next plug your zen in it sould reinstall automatically, and then work as normal.
