Sansa Clip+ - Too Good To Be True???

I'm looking at replacing my 5 year-old Creative MuVo TX and my requirement is for a music player (no video needed) that is suitable for using in the gym (90% of its use will be there), together with the occasional business trip/holiday. I would like to keep all my music on the player-I currently use 96kbps WMA's on the Muvo and have 12Gb in total. Oh yeah, decent sound quality and not too many £££££'s are also on the wish list!
I was convinced that this was an impossible combination until I came across the Sansa Clip+. It seems to tick all my boxes, and at £50 for the 8Gb model, together with a £15 8Gb Micro SDHC card it will hold all my music with plenty of space to spare. I can't really see any problems with it (it even looks good!), so I just wondered if I've missed anything or is it really as good as it appears?

Thanks!

Just thought I'd mention the other possibility that I've been looking at is a 16Gb Creative Mozaic, but these seem to have some indifferent reviews.

Re: Sansa Clip+ - Too Good To Be True???

I have the 8GB Sansa Clip (ie without the card slot) and am very impressed. I agree that with the SD card it looks irresistible.

Just a couple of points to consider, though. Like many other players, it does not work gaplessly. Depending on what music you play, that may or may not be a problem to you.

Secondly, you don't get to see many characters on the screen, so it can sometimes be tedious to work out what album you are selecting if they have long titles (eg hard to distinguish between "Vaughan Williams: Symphony Number 7" and another one by the great VW). So you may want to abbreviate your album titles.

Finally, as with all players that have expansion memory, you might want to check whether the expansion works seamlessly with the on-board memory, or do you have to select it separately. Others on the forum may be able to clarify that.
