Unable to charge my Sansa

I recently bought a reconditioned Sansa Sandisk 2 gb c250 mp3 player.I 've tried on a few occasions to charge the battery via the usb connections on my pc.I've tried both front and back connections of my pc for about 3 hours each and have only succeeded in getting 1 hours playing time from the battery instead of the 15 hours suggested. Any ideas? Is it more likely my pc or the Sansa which is causing the difficulty? I have a wall charger ordered but have to wait for it.

Re: Unable to charge my Sansa

USB charging is much slower because of the current limit on USB prots plus at first you need to give products a longer charge.

Re: Unable to charge my Sansa

Thanks. I appreciate the slowness of usb but I allowed it to charge for 7 hours over the night and it has not accepted any power at all and on checking, it imediately showed the low battery warning.I immediately see the "connected " message on the Sansa when it is connected to the usb and the clockwise "arrows" indicate that it's charging but the battery icon on the screen, after showing a movement as if charging, then simply stops and shows a full green colour but no movement.I'll do another search for charging info. on some other sites but looks like I may need to have a serious chat with the supplier

Re: Unable to charge my Sansa

I got this working shortly after the above post.I was advised to "refresh" the usb connections in "My Computer" and the Sansa then charged fully after 3 hours.
