Wink Duplicate songs Itunes fast muti delete

Folks,

I have over 3000 songs that are duplicates, I know that I can delete them one at a time, but sack that, would take me forever.

Is there a program within Itunes that will multi delete all files that are duplicated with the same track, artist album?

Thanks Alan

Re: Duplicate songs Itunes fast muti delete

File > Show Duplicates

You'll still need to delete them by clicking them but at least they will all be shown together in one place.

You probably wouldn't want to automatically delete them as you would want to choose which copy you wanted to keep?

Re: Duplicate songs Itunes fast muti delete

Related query...

Set itunes to convert my 24Gb of WMA's to MP3 overnight last night but it lost interest during the night, possibly due to Windows Update restarting the computer. I set it off again this morning and it promptly starting duplicating everything.

I think I need to start again!! Do I just delete the itunes folder and start it off again?

Thanks, NS
