error 1418

its an old 60gb white ipod colour with the smaller screen

it had music on it when i got it

i have a 80gb ipod of my own and when i connected the 60gb to my itunes it said it had to update then keeps comming up with this error

any ideas?

cheers for the help but seems its not willing to work so its only good for the bin, shame as its in almost new condition as ive never really used it
