DBPowerAmp dynamic locations

I am using dbpoweramp to rip my cd collection to flac & mp3 libraries. I am having problems with the dynamic folder structure for albums with multiple disks. I am trying to get the following structure

album artist/album name/disk 1 (if multi cd) track no. - track name

I am using the [album artist]\[album] [IFMULTI] Disk [disc] []\[track] - [title]

I am not sure what is wrong with the above syntax but I can not get it create a Disk 1 or Disk 2 folder when ripping albums with multiple disks.

Are there any other DBPowerAmp users out there that can help me?

Thanks.

Re: DBPowerAmp dynamic locations

Quite new to dbpa myself but I had some problems with this too. I use [artist]/[album]/[track] [title] for this but ommit the artist when they are compilation CDs with many different artists. From memory I think that ticking the 'Compilations' box then throws those CDs into folders named 'Album xxx'. IIRC, you must indicate in the 'Disc x of x' box in either case (single or multi artist) to get it to create different folders for each disc. Often AMG or Freedb I find screws this part up and I always have to adjust manually. Once done, you can often edit the album name which occassionaly contains clutter like 'Disc 1 of 3' that you don't need if you complete the box correctly. This works for me anyway.

Re: DBPowerAmp dynamic locations

Thanks for the reply. I have checked all the tags on my files after they have been ripped and they do include the Disk number tag. It's just that dbpoweramp only ever creates the album artist & the album name folders not the disk number folder I am guessing that there is something wrong with my syntax. I just can't see what it is.

Re: DBPowerAmp dynamic locations

I'll try re-ripping a couple of albums in a day or so and see what works for me when doing this. All mine seem to rip fine with artist then, for instance, two folders within that of disc 1 and disc 2 (preceeded by album name of course). Your disc numbers are 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 etc are they, not just 1, 2, 3?

Re: DBPowerAmp dynamic locations

Yes, All discs are tagged with 1/1 or 1/2, 2/2 etc. Thanks for having a look at this. Are you able to post the syntax that you use when ripping?
