WD TV - Doesnt play wmv (xbox 360 encodes)

The WD TV doesnt play wmvs ive encoded using the xbox 360 profile. This is WMV9 advanced with windows audio 10 professional 5.1 audio. This is a standard 360 template.

Does anyone know exactly what format wmvs is supported and whether any new firmwares are planned to expand the compatility?
