Can volume levels be increased on Archos 404?

I know it's possible to override the EU volume restrictions on some MP3 players. Does anyone know if it's possible with the Archos 404. This is a brilliant item, but volume quite low, and if you're in a noisy environment, impossible to hear!
If you can help, please let me have detailed instructions (I'm not very good on technical hings!)
Thanks

I'm not sure if this is of any help, but what you could do is buy sound isolating earphones. Basically this cancels out outside noise, ie traffic if you're walking down the street, or say if you're on the tube/train, noise all around you, so maybe this would make the volume seem louder. You could try google for different brands for this type of earphone and reviews etc

Re: Can volume levels be increased on Archos 404?

Have looked at these earphones, but most of them cost more than the played did itself, so not sure that the sound quality will warrant that sort of price for earphones!
Would still like to know if it's possible to override the setting!
Thanks
