Best Archos for recording from a camera?

Smile Best Archos for recording from a camera?

Which is the best Archos for recording using external cameras. Is it the AV 500?
I want to be able to use non archos helmet cameras and other cameras.

It is the codec that is important and they all use the same one, so in principle there is no difference.

I would use the 504 if I was you as it is very versatile .The 405 could also be an interesting option if you want the newest and don't want to spend too much money. The 504 however with 160GB HD will record up to 150 hours of video in the highest (DVD quality) quality setting.

The advantage of the AV500 is that you don't need the traveldock adapter !!

I am looking at the 405, because it is solid state........if you intend to use a helmet cam, for biking etc. the HDD recorders do not take the shocks very well and corrupt the files.
