Recording video to archos using adapter

Having major probs trying to record old videos onto archos via the archos docking system, managed to play the video but goes from colour to error screen constantly through the video any ideas

The Archos doesn't really care what the media is as long as it gets a clean AV signal, I'd check the socket on the back of your VCR or the cable you are using, it sounds like a faulty connection.
