Question Can i get an external battery for my Handheld TV ??

I have this handheld TV http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...709952-9815067 which has a built in (ie .. not removeable) "3.7v/2000mah rechargeable polymer battery".

The battery lasts for about 3 hours, but i need longer use out of it. I cant re-charge it as i have no access to mains. Dont really want the hassle, weight or bulk of a power pack (unless someone know of a very lightweight one).

Is it possible to get external batteries that i can plug into the TV ... the socket states "DC 5V"

Any ideas folks ??

I bought a four cell (AA) holder from Maplins, a suitable socket and made up my own for my Archos, works well and I can either use rechargeable batteries or alkaline.

There are various fairly cheap caddies available on ebay which have specific connections for various devices from phones to pdas & other gadgets. I also have one that has a USB socket it on it which I use with whichever usb cable is required for the gadget I am curently am using.

Re: Can i get an external battery for my Handheld TV ??

Its a while since I bought mine but try searching on 'battery extender' or 'usb battery extender' in amazon, ebay & addonsworld. Remember a lot of the pictures shown are just a generic one & they will provide the correct end for the device you request. If your device isn't specifically listed you could ask them first or find a more common device with the same sort of end. You can often get car &/or plug adapters in bundles with them. Good luck.
