Cleaning dvd player lens

I have recently bought a Vauxhall/Opel Zafira with a roof mounted Autovision DVD player.
Any disc I try either spins up for a bit then it says disc error and ejects it, or it attempts to play and the pic and audio is very chopped up.
I have tried several discs, one brand new and unmarked so its def not the media.
I assume this is down to some debris on the lens?
Can you get any system to clean a slot loading dvd player??
