Hi,

I am looking to buy a twin screen DVD player for the car..

I have seen the Wharfedale WDM-6988 8inch Twin Screen In Car DVD System in Argos for £149.99 and was just about to buy it when I realised it doesn't specify that plays DVD-R/RW...

Was thinking that we may get the Philips PET-707 as it does specify DVD-R/RW but would like to get the biggest screen possible.

We would be watching stuff recorded on our DVD Recorder so need to make sure it will play our discs.

Has anyone played DVD-R or RW on this machine and could you let me know if they work...

Hi VKL,

No mate, not got any more info sorry... just ended up ordering a Philips PET 707 instead.

Should be coming on friday.

This one deffo plays DVD-R/RW so at least I'll be sure to play the discs..

The slightly bigger screen would probably have been more prefferable, but we needed to make sure it played our discs.

Will let you know what the philips is like if you like

No probs,

Should get it tomorrow (from HughesDirect... £139 delivered ) and will test it works OK over the weekend....
Got to visit parents next week so it will get a proper test then....

Will post my comments as and when I have some
