Freecom Mediaplayer 350 Questions

Hi all...

I'm just on the verge of purchasing a Freecom 350 mediaplayer, but need some advice...

Does anyone know the model of 500Gb HDD supplied if purchasing with the unit? Is it a 8Mb or 16Mb cache model, and how quiet/noisy is it?

I've read reports that say the Mediagate firmware is better but invalidates the warranty if used on the Freecom unit - the sensible thing would seem to be to buy the Mediagate unit if the price is comparable, but, up to this point, I can't find it anywhere - does anyone know of a Mediagate supplier to compare prices with?

Many Thanks
