Sumvision File Formats for best quality

Hi group noob here

Just receivd my Sumvision Micro, and so far I am impressed with it. My question is, what file formats are best for the upscaling output?, I have DVDs that I can convert using DVDFab, and basically I want to know how much I can compress the movie, and which file is best to be used for the sumvision?
