To replace my 30gb Archos 605

Both look like good bits of kit.

It will be used mailnly for Video.

If I go for the Archos do I go for the 32gb solid state or 160 HD ?

I've lived OK with 32gb so cant see it as a major problem. 160 would be nice especially for HD vid but the solid state drive would be less prone to failiure.

Opinions ?

Well I'll answer my own question

I've ordered a 32gb Archos 5 Internet Tablet.

Hope it's as good as my old 605.

Hi,

For mainly video it has to be the ARCHOS, it has 2.5x the resolution of the Apple (800x480 ARCHOS) and twice the screen size area 4.8" screen.

I think you made the right choice, also whenever people see me using mine on a plane or train, they always say Wow what is that! They are normally itouch or iphone users too!

The Apple is a nice piece of kit, don't get me wrong but for video the ARCHOS is way superior, plus it will play lots more file types and you don't HAVE TO use itunes!
