Hi, new to this forum. i moved to the archos 5 from a creative zen vision w and i love the A5.

i purchased my archos 5 yesterday and have a question on the playing of dvds movies. i was told that with the archos 5 i would get a dvd menu and chapters just like a normal dvd. so i loaded a movie by just copying the audio and video ts folders over and i encoded the movie to avi using pocketdivx. neither gave me the menu option (i knew pocketdivx wouldnt do it). was i misformed on this?

Yes, you were misinformed.

No menus or chapters unfortunately. None of the formats it supports allow for these to function.
