Hi Phil,

Very interesting podcast.
Can Neil Davidson provide the names of the 3 free sound measurement software he recommended?

Thanks a lot

Re: AVForums Home Cinema Podcast : 20th April 2009

very interesting podcast

thanks

anywhere on here where you have a thread for future interview questions please (to be proposed to be asked ?)

I'm interested in why Pioneer seem to be sticking to only 1 year warranty on their non-TV AV products even on their £1-1.6K av receivers

wheras Denon is 2 years, Yamaha 2 years, Onkyo 3 years, Marantz 2 years, Arcam (DIVA range was 3 yrs, FMJ = 5 years) ?

I phoned Pioneer to check a while back as I thought it was a typo - but they confirmed that all their AV amps only have 1 year ?

Neil is very busy at the moment, but the products are clearly named in the podcast and a quick google search, or forums search will get that information for you quickly. Hope that helps.

Re: AVForums Home Cinema Podcast : 20th April 2009

Phil,

I was able to find the software mentionned in the podcast :

Room Eq Wizard, Carma from Audionet and XTZ (AVForum power buy and links)

What about hardware? Here's a suggestion found in an article from Hi-FiWorld:
The Behringer ECM8000 microphone and the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB souncard. Both available in the UK for a total less than £140.

Would they be OK?

Thanks in advance
JOA
