Gordon's explanation of 50Hz, 60Hz, 48Hz, film, video, etc is absolutely superb and makes this essential listening.

I presume Jason's item about the three second Tefal kettle, was an April Fool!

I must admit you got me Jason. I spent ages on the net trying to find the dam thing. Nearest I got was Tefals latest kettle that boils one cup of water in 30 seconds & it doesn't scale up either because its stainless steel element is gold plated.

Thanks for great little April fool, not as elaberate as Google's but all the better for being simple and believable.
