Changes to the podcast

Ok two changes to the podcast. Firstly we have renamed the Hardware podcast to Home Cinema. We felt that the word hardware is associated with PC hardware and doesn't reflect the true nature of the 'cast.

Secondly, having split the AV podcast into three elements, we had the problem that all the episodes were categorised under Technology / Gadgets. Which was obviously not appropriate for the movies or video games episodes.
So today I split the RSS feeds into three.
Which means that if you are subscribed to the existing podcast, you will only get the Home Cinema episodes via the RSS feed.
If you wish to subscribe to the movies and games podcasts, you will need to subdcribe to the new feeds.
For iTunes users, the movies podcast is here and the games podcast is here.
The MP3 feed has moved to here. Accessing the old feed will redirect you to the new one.

The only new RSS feed (for MP3) mentioned there is http://www.avpodcast.co.uk/cast/rss_mp3.xml.

Will this single feed serve up MP3 versions of all three parts of the podcast?

Re: Changes to the podcast

Could someone point me to the three simple RSS/xml feed links, so that I can use iPodder to get the Home Cinema and Movies podcasts but not the Games version? Cheers.

Re: Changes to the podcast

I've posted the following on the "About the podcast" thread:

Quote:
I know it's been mentioned recently, but the announcement didn't help.

Would someone please tell me what the correct URL for the MP3 feed for (all three) of the MP3 podcasts are please?

I have been using http://www.avpodcast.co.uk/cast/rss_mp3.xml but all my podcatcher sees is a file called podcast_square_itunes.jpg.

I've even tried http://www.avforums.com/forums/exter...2&forumids=264
but my podcatcher still doesn't see any MP3 files.

So am assuming that I'm doing something wrong, or missing something, hoping someone can set me straight.

Thanks
http://www.avpodcast.co.uk/cast/rss_mp3.xml - Really doesn't seem to work.

Can someone either let us know which RSS URL we should be using, or fix the above one if it's broken.

Thanks,
Yours going-nuts,
Dave

Re: Changes to the podcast

Hmm, in iPodder I'm still using:

http://www.avforums.com/podcast/rss_mp3.xml

which is getting all three podcasts - however I just want the movies and home cinema editions, not the games one. At present I'm just deleting the one I don't need, but I'd still prefer to use the correct subscription.
