Re: AV Podcast : Games : 17th Jan 2007

Good podcast this week. Well done chaps.

But... re. FPS - surprised that you didn't really mention online games in much detail - in fact probably the world's BIGGEST. Like Valve's Counter Strike 1.6, Condition Zero and CS Source. These are all short round-based (matches 12 or 15) - and have a huge following in clans, ladders (check out http://www.enemydown.co.uk). An interview with the chap who runs that website would be a fantastic for a future gaming news.

Your discussion seemed to focus on single play games - when the FPS's biggest market really is online competition, wars etc.

Take a look at the stats - they speak for themselves....

Re: AV Podcast : Games : 17th Jan 2007

There is some interesting news here:

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...2075225,00.asp

regarding PC gaming for 2007 and the effects Vista will have on the market.

Would be good if you guys could perhaps cover some of this as it would be very interesting to hear your views on the new DirectX 10 titles and how they stack up against the console offerings.
