Thanks! So I assume we are back to the one file format? I don't mind, actually I prefer it.

Thanks podcast team, lets see what Seth has to say about the games this time...

Re: AV Podcast : 1st Nov 2006

Hi ash,

Thanks for the comments again. The file splitting will happen when we have more than an hours material to release, I think an hour long file is the maximum length that Ipod's can handle properly.

I forsee two episodes next week as the review team talk about the Denon 1730 DVD player and give us their thoughts after using it to review DVDs. They also cover Animated CGI movies for the roundtable and have a real laugh, it was great fun to record with the guys last night and hopefully that comes across in the final edit. Plus we are off to the What Hi Fi & Stuff show this weekend to talk to the manufacturers and tell everyone who can't go what the main demos etc were like. So we will have all that plus the usual reviews and news, so looks like two feature packed shows next week. Stay tuned and tell your friends!

I'd just like to say a big thanks to Phil, Seth and the rest of the crew that contribute to putting this podcast together each week for us AV/Gadget geeks out there lol

Seriously though, a big thank-you and i'm loving the new format and long may it continue!

Re: AV Podcast : 1st Nov 2006

Just to echo what everyone else has been saying. I only discovered the podcast a couple of weeks ago and have been enthusiastically downloading older podcasts after listening to the first one.

The two main "podcasters" have excellent voices for this format and the whole format is very slick and professional. After listening to so many other high-profile, but embarrassingly amateur podcasts, this was a real treat.

Keep up the good work guys - your efforts, enthusiasm and general professionalism are very much appreciated. And if you decide you need to switch to a paid subscription only model to keep going I'd happily pay up.

Thanks again,

Ian Smith

Re: AV Podcast : 1st Nov 2006

Seth what you said about GRAW was barely acceptable, but to talk of Halo in such a way

Great podcast, it's nice that Steve May has a bigger section of the show, I respect his opinions

Can't wait for next weeks!

That's the thing though - I've been gaming for many many many years - from an old Binatone console with light gun through to Xbox 360. Halo just seemed to me to be another FPS and, while I prefered the second one, it just didn't rock my world like most people.

Hey I prefer Guild Wars to WoW (now THERE'S controversy ), but hey each to their own!

Just don't start the "Don't let Seth near Halo 3 for review" movement

Goodness me, I agree! Guild Wars is the much more accessible and enjoyable game...

Oh, and don't let Seth near the Halo 3 review!

Seriously though, keep up the good work

In relation to the length of the podcast, have you guys thought about releasing two individual podcasts on separate days. Say have one that focuses purely on hardware and another that focuses on DVD and Game reviews?

That's sort of the plan, except for the different days.

This weeks podcast WILL be in 2 parts and if the content is sufficient, it will stay this way!

Glad you agree on GW
