Will a PDP435XDE work with a different media box?

I have a Pioneer PDP435XDE 42" screen that works perfectly well. However, the media box Pioneer PDP-R05XE that goes with it has broken and can't be economically repaired. Can anyone tell me whether the plasma screen will work with any other media box or are they both useless now? I HATE to throw away such a great 42" screen, would it have any uses for anyone if I perhaps put it on eBay or is it just a trip to the tip for both of them? (What a waste)
Many thanks, Shirley

Re: Will a PDP435XDE work with a different media box?

Thanks for replying so quickly, I'll probably have to go and get a replacement this weekend, hopefully there will be some bargains around. Do you know whether the plasma screen would work with a PC as a screen/monitor?
Also, would you think there's any point in my putting the screen on eBay, there's nothing wrong with it and it cost a bundle?
Thanks again, Shirley

Not sure to be honest,no doubt someone will know though.
You could always try to sell it on ebay, there might be someone with a "working" media box but needs the panel?
Good luck with what you do.
