Hey all.
Having a dabble with loading films onto an ext usb hard drive and playing them on my TV...
Anyone know what formats the films will have to be in for the TV to recognise & play them ?...

USB stick , all the formats are on page 107/8 of your manual , way too many to list here.
Some file types like .ts wont play from a stick but will from a server.

USB hard drive , only usable for recording from the TV as far as I know ,and the drive must be formatted by the TV , and wont work on anything else.

A PC formatted hard drive wont be recognised by the TV , so any content you might have on there wont be seen.

And, unless things have changed with later TVs, only certain makes of hard drives will work.
