Yes yours is about twice as far over to the left as mine.

Does yours look more "obvious" in pictures than mine?

Have you been in touch with Panasonic? If so what was their response?

I do feel for all that this is an annoyance, but it does seem to be the first thing people are now doing is to go looking for this fault on their sets.

I have had 2 x ST50's I only swapped the first one due to excessive buzzing, but both of my screens had the band on the right handside, but for me I hardly notice it is there. I am sure the first screen also lessesned with time (only 3 weeks).

I think the first set may have had a wider single band. It definately differs with settings to my eye. I also think the second set where the band is less noticeable to almost invisible may actually be slighly more reflective so maybe something to consider as a factor to the issue??

Has this been seen at all on the UT?

I did contemplate the LGPM960 but there are no reviews anywhere.

It is a shame as the DSE ruins a superb picture.
Samsung makes a good alternative.

As someone has already posted that Panasonic are investing this, I can confirm that is the case.
Fingers crossed for a resolution and not a "within spec" type approach.

No sign of this on my GT50, and I even forced myself to watch some football to see if I could see it!

I have two different types, I have the thick bands running from top to bottom of the screen which can be seen when watching things like football (looks like I have three of these, one on the left of the panel and two on the right - these do not look like DSE, more like higher light output from behind the places they occur - obviously this is not the case as plasma doesn't use backlight), but I also have thin vertical stripes on the far left of the panel (three or four) which are much more like DSE as they look like they are in front of the image.

I've sent one 42GT50 back for this very issue. My replacement is miles better - BUT there is one (mild) DSE vBand and with all the Euro footy at the mo, it's becoming annoying. It's also more bizzar as you only see it when panning from left to right, can't see it the other way! Bonkers. I was hoping it would go with age or update, but from what's been said here about the filter application - I guess there's no chance! What to do next?.......

If out of every 100 sets Panasonic sell and only 2 people report the problem, they will NOT do anything about it. However if 70 people report it they WILL.
Anyone with this issue please report it. Not just to your retailer but directly to Panasonic.

Do you really think they will ever call back tens of thousands of tv's? Not going to happen.

I do know that it will not happen if no one reports it.

There is no evidence whatsoever that it is the filter that is to blame.

There are lots of other things that can go wrong with a plasma display.
E.g., unstable addressing. You can read descriptions of many problems
in Panasonic's patent applications.

Be asssured Panny know!
I just need to make the decision to either keep returning until I get a perfect set (if that exists - probably not) or to accept what it's like. Which is also accepting that spending over a grand for something that's not 100% is OK, pants down, slap me botty - thanks Mr Panny. Both options are not ideal BUT otherwise, the PQ is great

Any retailer who refunds a set would surely be demanding a refund themselves? so Panasonic will be aware. Im keeping an eye on this one, sounding like the blobs all over again, I hope its not as wide spread.

What if in 6 months you were to contact retailer\Panasonic saying that your tv had developed a fault, i.e. faint vertical line, would this be covered under the warranty?

No bright scene pops that I am aware of (D8000), & the fbr has been fixed by F/W, the only problem with these sets is the less than stellar blacks and tbh at least that is not a fault per se (at least the Samsungs do not have a 50hz bug, no dfc, no posterisation)
