LED TV Backlighting

Sorry if I have posted this query in the wrong section, but I'm thinking of upgrading my TV to either a 60" or is possible a 65" (one can dream) and was going to put some walls lights behind the TV.
I have to say the better half came up with the excellent idea of the back-lighting, can anyone help or point us in the right direction.

Cheers

Paul

You can buy a lot of kits for it if it is wallmounted...

If you have the TV on a TV stand / rack then you can just buy a desktop lamp for £10, remove the shroud from it, then fit a 5000k-6500k low energy light bulb and BLAM - Decent bias lighting for less than £15!

i dont think it will help with black levels but alot of people have them so cant be a problem but it will help if you have a white wall.
but im well chuffed with mine it defo boosts the black levels.

Hi paul my room is far from perfect and the reason i brought the leds was because at night when i watch my plasma i see rainbow effect(hard to explian)(dont see them in the day) my wife and friend cant see them , so i thought giving the leds a try might help and after last night i can honestly say it made hell of a diffrence probably 99% better.

Colour would depend on the lighting in the room to an extent
Also some colours work better for perceived black levels depending on conditions
I have a set of these Colour changing RGB LED Kit with IR Remote control 4 x 500mm strips plug in power supply and connection cables: Amazon.co.uk: Lighting and they work very well, although I am considering updating the IR module and remote to the 44 key version to obtain more functionality
As it is they look good and there is a nice blue/green colour that really does make the blacks jet black

Yeh I think aqua is the colour.
Because the walls are light brown and the blinds/curtains are a dark brown when I use white it all looks pink
The blue setting looks very bling, but I don't use any of the other colours tbh
For now I've settled on the aqua until I get the new remote http://www.amazon.co.uk/COLOUR-CHANG...im_sbs_light_2 maybe
