Panasonic P65VT30 Compatibility with 1080p 30hz signal

I am trying to set up my new VT30 with my cable company's (Shaw Cable in Canada) Gateway/Portal system using Arris hardware. Under the Portal setup menu there is a "TV settings" where you test and enable compatible resolution settings. For 1080 resolution, the system supports three signals: 1080i, 1080p @ 24hz and 1080p @30hz. The VT30 will display the 1080i and 1080p @24hz signals but not the 1080p @ 30hz signal. Is this a limitation of the VT30 or is the a setup option for the TV that I am missing?

To be clear, this doesn't appear to be Portal/Gateway issue. I have a Sharp LC-80LE632U and a $200 Samsung 24" LCD hooked up to their own Portals and they both accecpt and display the 1080p @ 30hz signal.

Regards

I hate to bump an old thread but I have a TC-P60GT50 and the same PVR box, and was wondering the same question...

Do the Panasonic sets allow 1080p@30hz?
