The quality is perfect, but it just seems to leave a ghost on the screen, even after a few seconds on some things when it goes from light to dark (i.e. on a XBMC streamed film with boarders, when you pause it leave the time watched and left in the bottom right, when you resume, you can still see the ghost off this for a while)
How does the LG compare to your PZ Panasonic (black level, clarity etc)?

This is very common for this tv when new but once its got some hours on it it becomes less apparent until eventually it doesnt really happen at all.

I certainly wouldnt worry about it too much unless its really something you absolutely cant live with which would be a shame cause once everything has settled in its actually a fantastic tv with a great picture especially bluray and ps3 games.

Updating the FW for this tv always was a faff at the best of times, there were people saying a new version was available but when connected to the net the tv would never find it and you had to keep coming back and tryin again until you did eventually get the download.

Stick with it and keep tryin, eventually you will get there with it.

Just checking what the latest firmware is. I haven't had to update mine for at least 6 months. Mine is on 03.03.04.

Many thanks,

Yeah, that's not an issue, that's just what it does. It takes anywhere up to a minute to 'warm up'. My 350 does it, as do the 590s. Totally normal.

Hi Bibooo,

Latest firmware version is 03.03.06. - Thanks for this Bibooo.

Strangely when I've gone back to LG's site to download this it's now back to 03.02.07.

Can anyone upload the 03.03.06 version so we can all have the latest firmware?

Many thanks,

Bibooo

Random question but hope someone can help.
Those of you who have the 50" model wall mounted if you dont need the stand screws can I please have them. I cant find the ones to connect the tv to the stand anywhere in the house.

Used the old grey matter and looked online at the LG PK590 manual.

There M4 x 28 screws so I ordered some from Ebay for £2 odd for 30

On the LG site it linked me to a dealer who has them at £1.80 each!

Hi all,
I've had my PK590 for about 10 months now, a very good tv, but over the past week I've noticed 3 stuck pixels when viewing under blue light. I've tried some computer programs to 're-energise' the pixels but no luck. I bought from currys online, would anybody have an idea with what I can do now? ie still under warranty will currys exchange?
Thanks
Mark

unless you have the whatever happens service from currys, it'll be collected within 3-4 days and they have 28 days from time of collection to fix it or write it off and you'll get the original purchase price back.

if you have whatever happens standard, you'll get a call out guaranteed in 48hrs and they have only 21 days to fix your tv (unless its an accidental damage claim when its normally done within about 3 or 4 max)
if its WEH premier you get the 48hr callout and a timeslot to suit you, a loan tv and your TV fixed within 7 days of pickup or a new one.

I wish. I found the paperwork out for how much I paid for the PK590 and it was only £650 so getting £400 for it was great I think.

And recent news on the Panasonic front is it looks as if there working on a fix for the FBr's.

Thats good news for the UK FBR Fix , Maybe there is hope for Panasonic after all , I wish they would make me a 60" Micro LED Full backlit passive LCD tho
