Hi, (cheeky posting on here, seems to be more answers on this thread) I have had a 250t version for a few days now and when I change the channel on the skyhd box the sky shows a message for a couple of seconds saying there is a technical fault with this channel. It's done it a few times on different channels and it rarely didn't on my other lg. Has anyone had this fault? Could it be that I need a new hdmi cable as I don't know if the one I have is high speed?
Thanks

Thats not a problem with your tv, u just need to turn off ur sky box then turn on again. Depending on how old ur box is that's a sign that it is starting to diie

Cheers for reply peahead!! Funny thing is, I have only just replaced the sky box with this recon one just before xmas. It did come with 3month warranty so looks like a little trip back to the shop. Another thing peahead, I will be altering the TV settings later with your settings. Most folk on here like those, so I'll set mine up and see!!

Cheers daz! I'll ask them if they can change the psu. With regard to using HDMI cables, is there any benefit in getting a v1.4? Peahead, applied settings and it's alot better, only thing I don't understand is the point settings

20 point ( only in 10 increments) will be re calibrating in 2 weeks
(rgb)
0 -2,0'-7
10 -2,0,-6
20 3,0,4
30 3,0,9
40 -1,0,10
50 0,0,3
60 -2,0,23
70 -5,0,9
80 0,0,0
90 -8,0,25
100 5,0,20

Where do you apply these? And, how do you apply the 3d settings, or do you just change them when you are watching in 3d?

No worries pal. I mean the power unit actually inside the sky box. Not the plug. When I was a sky engineer I was always swapping boxes with that fault but we were told to our in refurbished but they were rubbish so insist on a new box

The settings are entered under the picture settings, make sure u select expert 1 then near the bottom of the menu there should be a color management system, under 2 point calibration, press right and 20 point should appear. Go through all of the 10 different IRE settings and put in those settings. 3d settings can only be done once a film in 3d is selected

I thought you meant the power supply in the box, I've read they do go. Thanks again. Another question sorry, with the colour settings do I apply to all inputs?

QUESTIONS:
1. got LG AG-S250 glasses with tv , thinking about buying spare pair. can i use LG AG-S100 /s110 glasses ???
2. hot to check software version installed on tv?
3. where can i found info about software updates and changelogs ?
4. because there is only one usb port, can i use usb hub for my (hdd, glasses charge) ?
5. what is the point of PCMCIA port ? (pcmcia wireless,bt card/ pcmcia to usb hub) ?

thank you
Hi I think only the ag-s250 glasses work with this tv as the earlier ones use a different sync system, I think the 250 ones use radio frequencies so u don't need to be in line of sight of tv, the earlier ones used infra-red.
Software can be checked by opening menu then pressing the red button.
U can use the USB to recharge the glasses, for memory sticks and external hard drives.
Mo idea what the PCMCIA port is for but think it is if u want to add channels for pay to view

Hi, tried it this morning, worked fine. There has to be a simple reason for yours not to work. If u want, I'll give u my gamer tag and next time u r on I'll be able to tell u what settings I have on Xbox? Gamertag PeaHead

Ok i think ive done it correctly i pressed right on the IRE option and started at 0 then went to 10 entering the settings as i go for example IRE 0 = -2,0,-7 is that correct?.

im still confused though, do i need to select 20 point on the picture settings because when i change the input it will have 2 points on the setting menu and not 20 after i applyed these settings to all inputs

Also should i change my picture setting for my xbox 360 from the GAME setting to EXPERT 1 setting with these settings ive just setup ???

If u have applied to all inputs it should move all those settings over, as a check u can select a different input, say HDMI2 then open pic menu, scroll to 2 point, press right, 20point should appear then change IRE to 10 and check if the rgb settings are there

No just use the Xbox settings I have provided, they r set up to make the games look good. The reason for applying to all inputs is that it moves over the IRE settings and the color management settings so that the picture is set up as close to the colors that they r meant to be. Have u inputted the different color settings?

If u have already entered the game settings from an earlier post they will be saved, just change the expert 1 to game and the settings will be there. If u need the settings again, have a look on my earlier posts, I'm typing on an iPhone and can't see too much and Internet is slow

Yes I assume it moves all those settings over in the background so that it will be as close as possible to the right colors. Depending on what games u play u can remove the edge enhancer, sometimes makes player in FIFA look jaggy
