Panasonic TX-P42V10 question

Panasonic TX-P42V10 / TX-P50V10 / TX-P42V10B Review

According to this review, this TV (unlike the G10 series) is able to resolve all lines of 576i over HDMI as opposed to Component.

If I was to take my normal Sky box & connect the SCART cable into this:

SCART2HDMITV StarTech SCART to HDMI Video Converter

& then an HDMI cable out & into this HDTV, would it still be able to successfully resolve all lines over 576i?

:-)

Re: Panasonic TX-P42V10 question

"HDMI Converter upscales the provided SCART video to 780p"

780p is not even a supported hdmi resolution? I do not know put it sertainly says it does deinterlacing as it outputs resolution as progressive.

Re: Panasonic TX-P42V10 question

i'll jump on this thread to ask my own quicky.
got a new v10.. only issue i have is that any of my boxes connected through scart (freeview pvr and a cable pvr) the picture has a 10mm gap to the bottom of screen. the pic through the internal freeview tuner is much better, the gap barely visable. ps3, my only hdmi device, is fine.
is this a telle problem?

would appreciate anyones thoughts on this, as it is looking like it is an issue with the TV. On RGB scart inputs the picture is about 10mm higher than through its internal tuner, leaving me the black band at bottom of screen. It does this on all the AV inputs, but only if set to RGB (the pvr output). when i set the output to CVBS the picture drops back down to normal.
i wonder if the picture position through engineers menu can be specific to the av channel and its format?
gawd i so dont want to have to box the thing up again
