I cant imagine there would be much noticeable difference between any of them for Xbox 360 use.

But theres a fair difference in price. 50" G10 for £1050ish takes some beating.

(go for a bigger set!)

Re: Which Panasonic is best for use with an Xbox 360 Elite?

I don't think you can pick up the GB version of the G10 for £1050 now, you can get the EU version, but that wont have the same freesat connectivity and a few things like that (more picture controls) so if freesat was going to be used then it might not be useful. I think the GB 50" G10 is more like £1200

I'd say get the G10 as the best gaming performance TV, video games don't follow the same standards as movies and TV, so the THX mode on the V10 wont make you 'see the images as the designer intended' apparently the G10 also has less input lag than the V10! The G15 is pretty much the same as the G10, but it has viera cast and those kinds of features

So are you saying the TX-P42G15 would be the best TV for use with an Xbox 360 Elite since it's essentially a TX-P42G10 but with the added features? Can anyone else substantiate this? Thanks.

Only if you're going to be using the viera cast features (which is the internet stuff), otherwise it's just a waste of the extra money. If you do plan to use viera cast then yes

The G15 doesn't have anything to actually make it a better TV for gaming though. The AVF reviewers did seem to get calibration results out of the G15 than the G10, but as I said, video games aren't the same here

G10 has less input lag than the V10?!

That is surprising. Even more reason to go for the G10 then - especially if youre a gamer.

I researched the G15 - for me it has nothing over the G10 as Im not interested in Viera cast/internet on tv thing at all! (keep the net stuff where it belongs - on the PC! )

Check Richer Sounds, Pixmania.co.uk, Dixons.com for prices (for starters). Or check the G10 price thread

I got mine from Digital Direct as they had a 3 year guarantee with it - they still have this offer running but the price is around £1140 I think. (still better than what I paid for mine from them only 6 weeks ago!)

Not sure what the price difference between the two is but I bet that the G10 is much better value (more in demand so the prices are more competitive).

Why dont you get the 50" though?! That way - you wont have to move closer to the TV trust me!

It's for my bedroom as I'm only 19.

From HD TV test;

P42G10 - Panasonic TX-P42G10 / TX-P42G10B Review
Quote:
Objective measurements placed input lag with [Game Mode] activated at up to 21ms faster than our resident Samsung F96 LED-backlit LCD TV.
P42V10 - Panasonic TX-P42V10 / TX-P50V10 / TX-P42V10B Review

Regardless of whether [Game Mode] was engaged or not, we measured the input lag on Panasonic TX-P42V10 plasma television to be equal to our resident Samsung F96 LED-backlit LCD TV, which made reflex-dependent fighting games like Street Fighter IV incredibly fun to play.
The G10 is the same with game mode turned off, but speeds up with it on, which the V10 doesn't
