Exclamation Looking for a Panasonic TH-37PX80B

A friend of mine wants the 37" model as the 42" model is a tad too large for his living room after seeing mine though my living room is larger than is.

I've read about the free Panasonic 5 year warranty that some retailers are providing till 31st August 2008 but I can't seem to find a decent store thats actually selling the TV below £600 with the 5 year warranty thats close to us as you can only get the warranty if you purchase in-store.

The next best deal I've found is the TV with a free floor stand at Sound & Vision for £589.99 but it only has a 1 yr warranty:

http://www.soundandvision.co.uk/more...oduct_id=15611

My friend would compromise on the warranty if he can find the TV at a very cheap price.

My friend is located in Greater Manchester so if you could find a store selling it below £600 with 5 year warranty then that would be great!

Thanks!

There's the Argos deal with 3 years that I mentioned on the other thread that you replied to. Alternatively, Richer Sounds are at £604.90 including 5 years warranty (if you can get to Stockport and afford the extra £4.90)

Doh!

I forgot about the Argos deal

Since he wants 5 years warranty, I'll tell him to call Richer Sounds tommorow to ask for their stock status at the Stockport store.

Sound & Vision, Bolton, should give you the Panny 5yr guarantee if you pick it up instore.

I don't see Sound & Vision on the list of stores that gives the free Panasonic 5 yr warranty:

They definitely do as I have our form here in front of me to send off tomorrow. Picked it up a couple of months back.

Do you think we could get the 5 yr warranty if my friend ordered over the telephone or do they hand over the warranty form instore?

Also, on the website it states the TV comes with a free floor stand. Would this offer also be instore?

It has to be an instore purchase, and all the PXs come with a pedestal stand.

I know about the pedestal stand but online, S&V state this:

***INCLUDES FREE FLOOR STAND ORIGINALLY WORTH £129*** {MODEL NO. ST42B4L}

Searching for the model no. on the website takes me to this product:

http://www.soundandvisiononline.com/...roduct_id=4973

So would that free floor stand also be available with an instore purchase?

Sorry,no idea. But normally S&V sell the same in the shop as online at the same price (the 5yr guarantee is a Panny restriction, must be an instore purchase).

Phone up and ask about the stand.

Re: Looking for a Panasonic TH-37PX80B

Do S&V stock their goods at the premises so collection can take place after purchase or do they deliver their goods even if you buy instore?
