Re: PANASONIC TX-P42V10E pictures ....
Hi
Does it really matter what the remote looks like? As long as it does its job. It's all about the tv lol.

Re: PANASONIC TX-P42V10E pictures ....
to top it off i have a pronto pro anyway.so i wouldnt even use the standard tv remote but considering the design beauty of the tv why not see it through with a nice remote.its like buying a ferrari with wheel trims.

Re: PANASONIC TX-P42V10E pictures ....
Just looking at the pictures again is the back of the tv brushed silver like the stand or grey, cant really tell with the camera flash. Also is the remote comfortable to hold as i hate having the channel and volume controls so low down on the remote.
Thanks.

remote has got a bit of an indent in the bottom which your finger fints into nice for using the bottom buttons.

Re: PANASONIC TX-P42V10E pictures ....
Any chance of some pictures of the TV in action guys? Also have you played any HD stuff on the set yet and if so, did you have the sharpness turn down on thx for HD source? I'm just trying to workout why what hifi thought the HD picture was better on the g10. The only thing I could think of is that the reviewer on here, turn the sharpness down to minimum when playing blu-ray/hd source.

Re: PANASONIC TX-P42V10E pictures ....
Thanks for the response and picture, one last question do you have an xbox 360 or ps3 hooked up and and if so did you notice any input lag or screen burn/retention.
Thanks.

Panasonics are quite resistant to this, but occasionally it may happen.
Response time is excellent on plasmas of course however i notice sometimes a faint green trail on moving objects like my CRT. Why?
BTW i don't have a V10- can't afford it , but this is what i have read from other people's views and facts

I can't detect any input lag at all or image retension. gaming is an absolute pleasure - I've been kicking ass on Halo3 since I got it two days ago. it can't recieve a 1080p signal through VGA though.

I've got the sharpness all the way down - HD looks great - I'll load up some photos in a couple of mins. according to DVE adding sharpness adds some edge halo detail things - not good. turn your sharpness settings to min!

Re: PANASONIC TX-P42V10E pictures ....
I do feel that Panasonic do make some very good Plasmas (I have one myself) but until their design department are dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century I don't think I would be in too much of a hurry to replace my current model. Do the words "generic" really fit in with a top of the range Plasma ... I don't think so.
Of course some people will like the solid and sturdy look of both the TV, the stand and the remote ... but not me Panasonic - perhaps it looks better in the flesh
