New Slimline Tilting Plasma Wall Mount
I am interested in getting one of these as per the group buy. What I would like to know first is the panasonic th42pv500 requires a 40mm packer/spacer to be fitted, Not sure of the reason for this?
Does anyone have one of these and is there any chance that you could post some pictures of it please. I don't want the thing to be stuck out from the wall like a sore thumb. ![]() |

I have the TH-37PV500 and have purchased a very high quality swivelling wall bracket from Future Automation (not cheap tho'!). It too comes with long hard plastic spacers.
The reason for these spacers on the PV500 range is that the panel, whilst itself quite thin, has a bulge at the bottom which conceals circuitry and the AV ins/outs. The spacers fit around the 4 bolts (M8) which attach to the thin parts of the panel. They effectively ensure that the mounting rails are brought out level with the thickest part of the panel, whilst still perfectly vertical. The spacers do not push the panel any further away from the wall than it would be anyway. Hope this helps... |
