How to Mount Plasma on Plaster Wall?

I want to mount my Philips 37" LCD TV onto one of my walls which is made up of 100% plaster, there is no studs or anything and is about 3" thick. The TV weights about 35Kg's, do you think it would be safe to mount my TV onto the wall as it is? What would be the best way to mount it and which bolts should I use and where I can get them from? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Sounds like its paramount partition.

Its plasterboard with egg box carton in between.

Not good for fixing too i'm afraid, 35kgs is a lot to bear, it can be done if you know how.

Not for the diy route unless you are familiar with it.

Surprised to hear this TV weighs 35KGs? 35LBs maybe, but not KGs!

Dave.

This is a tricky one, if you can i would try fix through the wall with M8 threaded rod into a horizontal batons, top and bottom. One the other side you could try and disguise this by mounting a shelf or something over the top of it, if not i would consider making a wooden frame attached to the plaster board with heavy duty plaster board plugs. This is a risky situation, but if you distribute the weight across a large area then it should be strong enough. If your not brave enough for that then its either a ceiling mount with a pole and bracket or you could build a false wall with proper stud partitions. Either way i would be worth cutting a chunk out of the wall to see whats supporting it at the mo.

Good luck

Please note this advice is free and given when i am very tired, so if you tv falls on the floor and smashes into millions of pieces then its nowt to do with me!!!!
