jvc pd 42b50 out of focus, and mounting info req

just bought the above i dont know if its me being picky but without the image enhancement on(d.i.s.t) in normal mode the picture appears out of focus, have attempted different configurations of bright/contrast/coulour/sharp etc to no avail, picture is not as out of focus when dist is on but objects on the screen appear to have a fuzzy halo round them connected through scart 1 with quality shielded scart cable to humax pvr 9200 signal strength 78% signal quality 100% on humax box, through scart 2 same cable type daewoo dvd player still blurred, through front connections (rca) xbox still blurred, especially noticeable on text, has any one had experience of thid tv, does anyone know the maximum length of the screws which go into the back of the tv to wall mount its not in the manual or on the website, have also checked the back cover and there is no indication on there either tried to contact jvc customer service quite difficult to get through any help appreciated
