Hi! For which model, these settings apply?

I own LW4500/LW450U.

Also what about the Ire 100 settings levels? I mean for all 100-10 Ire, what values to put for Red, Green, Blue?

Thank you!

LG 47LV355U picture and sound settings

Heya, I've just bought a new tv and I'm after LG 47LV355U picture and sound settings. I've read through the comments but didn't seem to see that model mentioned or in the spreadsheet.

Anyone got some settings? Mainly tv and Xbox use.
Thanks

Just got the 42 of that model... suggested setting anyone would be appreciated... I'm not overly convinced by the results of the picture wizard

Anyone got any settings for the LG60PG3000? I have checked all the data bases but can't find my model
Listed at all. I don't know anything about picture quality to feel qualified to make a contribution sadly.

Anyone one know the setting for 55 LM660T, please? The standard and vivid modes deliver amazing colors, but the movement is too smooth and soap opera like. Game mode is closer in movement, but its a little too choppy. Cinema dulls the color, and is pretty close to what a Blu Ray should be like, but the colors are muted and its a little too smooth, it doesn't look like a movie.

If someone could please help me with this, that would be amazing.

If you like it just keep the settings on vivid but desable the true motion that's what creat the soap opera effect

It's not bad this setting. But there's a lot of noise going on in the picture on vivid, which leads to some artifacting( which is really not a problem ). Cinema mode cleans all the noise, but the colors are nowhere near what vivid had. Vivid mode I find too distracting with all the noise, so I stick with cinema for Blu Rays, which is 95% of my usage. The GUI, user interface, and smart TV stuff, and 3d is the best of any TV i've seen, but the Samsung seemed to have slightly better 2d picture. Better blacks, and when in the mode to get the best blacks, you don't get as much noise as you do on the LG.

It seems like one needs to coordinate it just right, but I don't what it, or if it even exists.

It's such a 50/50 toss up for me between the Sammy and my current LM.

Hi guys, I've just an LG Smart LED, picture is quite poor and I've sat for hours trying to get a picture good enough to represent LED Technology. I got a good picture yesterday but today it seems rubbish again .. is it actually possible to get a picture as good as the display models in the shops ?? I can't find my model number on your spread sheet (42LS575T). I'm connecting via my Cable Box (Virgin Media). Hope someone can help me bring my TV to life !

That will depend where your image is coming from ?

if it's analogue TV it's normal, if it's a bluray or Freeview HD channel then you will have the same result as the shops

No Analogue, that's out with the ark now ; ) so if I get a Virgin HD Box then I should get the picture my TV was made for? A suppose using a Scart doesn't help lol

Ok, I've got an 47LW540U-ZA and the picture quality is terrible, everything, whether it be an old movie, new drama etc etc ALL looks like it's shot on crappy video and looks like a soap like Neighbours. it doesn't matter if it's sourced from my media centre PC or Humax HD PVR box. It's the worse picture quality I've ever had on a new TV. The only thing that does look ok is 3D.

I've tried every setting, gone into Expert mode, and it still looks ****.

Ant thoughts?

Thats because you have the image processor on turn it off and the image will look natural again

Thanks for the quick response, much appreciated.

I don't remember seeing 'Image Processor' in the picture menu, is it in the standard menu? I'll take a look when I get home.

PQ on LG42LM670T and various other problems

Hi All

I have a problem with PQ on my new TV. The problem seems to be getting worse, or at least it's becoming more irritating. I am not sure whether it's a settings issue or I have a fault. May I describe it and get your feedback?

The set is now 10 days old. I am seeing two fundamental problems. They are prevalent on both SD and HD channels - from now I will describe my HD experience because I expect SD to be poorer. I have Freesat via a Humax Foxsat and freeview HD direct. Freesat, Boxee and Sony bluray player are ported through a Yamaha YSP2200 soundbar.

Problem One
Whether I am freeview HD or Freesat HD the picture is very dark. No amount of adjustment of contrast, brightness or backlight will correct it without compromises.

Problem Two
This one is hard to explain. But is best characterised by 'android faces' - real people's faces which are artificially smooth, unblemished and of a uniform colour. Then the person smiles or frowns and definition suddenly appears, only to disappear again when the expression returns to normal. Yet a face of someone further in the backgrpund seems sharper and more defined.

These are major problems for me on an otherwise excellent set - to the point where I am thinking of returning it because I spend too much time fiddling with settings while watching TV.

There are a few lesser issues:

1. Pausing Live Freeview - I have tried a variety of USB devices in port 1 - 2, 16, 32GB sticks in FAT 32 and NTFS format and a 320GB powered USB HDD. The TV will record to none of them. It tells me the devices are not suitable for recording. It can see them all, and has let me update the TV's firmware to the latest version using one of them. What am i doing wrong?

2. I cannot get the TV to see my NAS drive although it can see all my Sonos devices (I wish it wouldn't and they could be deleted from the input list as they get in the way)

3. I can't delete channels from the EPG. I don't want all the adult channels to appear (grandchildren in the house). I can block them, I can 'favourite' the channels I want to see, but I cannot delete them from the EPG so they are invisible - which I was able to do easily on a £23 freeview set top box from Tesco.

Any help would be appreciated as I would prefer to not return the TV
