HDR's from today at Edinburgh Docs.....

Ok.....went out today and apart from a little hassle I got from the port authorizes in there nice uniforms!!! I managed a few shots and although windy think I have got 4 reasonable HDR shots........any comments welcome but be nice .....I'm still learning.

1.This was round the back where the old lifts were all rusty and just sitting there redundant.

2.This shot I though was better than it turned out and for some reason the name on the ship was not clear and it should have been cos the other 4 shots were spot on.......So! I added that old photo effect and blurred it a bit.....

3.This was 1 of the ships on the other side, the bit them guys made sure I couldn't get into. I only had the 18-70 KL so this was the shot I got.....

4. I went back to the ship I had taken before and re-done the shot. This time the name and surroundings were clear and sharp....The ship is called "Jean Charcot," I like this shot

Then it rained. And the wind kicked in. I went back to the car and then a rainbow appeared.......I had no time for an HDR but took a few of that but just the norm .......it didn't last long so couldn't really get a good shot but....here it is....

The rainbow shot.... Non HDR

HDR is so addictive but not as easy....ish! as I thought it might be.......lot of things to take into consideration when trying to get upto 5 exposures of 1 shot.

Enjoyable though.....

The blues on #1 are a bit garish but I really like #3 and #4

Well done.

'Exposure' wise these HDRs look great. Kudos on your development (see what I did there).
I think generally the colour saturation is a bit high for my tastes, but as I say, overall very nicely done.
I also like the aged thing you did on #2. Extreme, but for the subject I think it really works.
What software you using? For the HDR I mean. It's something I keep thinking about but don't want to have to invest heavily to try it out.

Re: HDR's from today at Edinburgh Docs.....

Looks like you are enjoying this HDR stuff

I guess fast moving clouds are a problem with it though as in #3?
