Test shot Canon kiss x4

This is 1 of the test shots from the new canon D550 and kit lens. Its called the Kiss x4 and purchased via Digital Rev.

Anyway - shot of the living-room that is getting finished with builing work outside front and rear (Am skint ) and this was the outcome.

Shot on full auto to let us,brother and me, see how it does in a dark room and then cropped a little and sharpened a touch and removed the little noise there was with noiseware community edition free.

F4 iso 400

And the .raw shots are coming in at 21.5 meg - pretty big files.

Anyway apart from straightening the shot the results are really good.

Our House by icemanonline, on Flickr

Good 1st test.

excuse the skuwif shot - should have straightened 1st but wife is moaning cos am mucking about with the camera instead of this that and the other - YAWN!!

Not sure where to put this. I'd classified it as 'landscape', though I'm not sure others would agree, so I'll put it here.

A bit of unusual type of photo for me. I love the amount of detail this camera gives me.

Focal length 70mm, ISO 100, f18, 13 sec

This is a bit of unusual photo. This is a night photo shot in complete darkness. Because of that, there is almost no colour recorded in the original, so I converted it to B&W, lighten up even more and cropped a bit of featureless sky (overcast night).

I need to go back there and repeat this shot with better framing and a bit different location.

looks much better bigger

Focal length: 70 mm
Exposure: 30s at f/4
Flash: Not fired, compulsory mode
Exposure bias: 0 EV
Exposure mode: Manual
Exposure prog.: Manual
ISO speed: ISO 100
Metering mode: Pattern
