Let's just say that the title of the shot will definitely be "Ribbed For Her Pleasure" and most definitely will NOT be an outdoors shot - certainly not in January!

A wise choice, Jim. I hear that the cold has a severe detrimental impact to the Trossachs region.

I suppose it depends if kebab and Iron Bru stains count as "texture"

Whooooooaaaaa there, Deb Don't encourage him any more!

Unusual interpretation there, Goso , but very interesting. I'd goso (geddit?) far as to say it's my favourite entry to date! Fair play to Deb for helping you out!

Whoa There Boys ! - I turn my back for a few minutes and there's a veritable flood of rather good (yes even Gazza!) compo. entries

So I though I'd better get my shot in for the compo too

P.S. Gazza - you missed a stain

So tell us when you've taken it won't you ?

I realised I failed to mention "that" stain...... Iranian scientists are still working on identifying it

Was in Belfast this morning picking up my new tripod ... and took a look at how the new Titanic Visitor Centre was coming along. It is due to be opened in April, which is the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's sinking ...

Nice shots Calvin - what Tripod/head did you end up with then and where did you end up getting it from with your Luncheon Vouchers?

Wow that's a great shot I presume that's fully zoomed to be able to get that close after cropping?

Yep, 12x. Having said that, the little bird feeder is only about 5 feet the other side of the window, so about 6 feet away from the camera in total...

EDIT: Just noticed that I had izoom on, so it was 16x.

Just shoes the capabilities of TZ, especially as it's using the izoom too

Was it handheld or on a tripod as I sometimes get blur if I try taking shots zoomed in that close?

Right I'm in for the mini comp this week with a zoomed in shot of a slice of bread.

'Loaf'ly by Soggs, on Flickr

This was my original shot that I took early in the week, not early enough though as someone beat me to the tree bark shot!

'Tree'mendous by Soggs, on Flickr

And this was my backup until the bread

Got to hand it to you by Soggs, on Flickr

Isn't it always the way Soggs, when we put up a choice of pics, someone prefers the ones that you didn't enter in the compo. The tree for me is the best of the three.
