30th May 2012

This was actually taken at 17 minutes past midnight on the 30th, time was wrong on the camera by 1 hour. Stopped off on the way home after filming a concert at the Albert Hall, managed to park right under The Gherkin, what a building !

31st May 2012

Taken on the South Bank after an evening at the Royal Albert Hall. If I had only waited 20 minutes longer I could have had one for the next day as well !
This is :The Scoop" plus "The Shard" in the distance, weird how all these buildings are getting names !

3rd June 2012

Went to London to see the Jubilee Flotilla on the Thames, didn't see much of the boats but we did see lots of different nationalities joining in with the fun, this young lady was typical. It was a good natured crowd with no agro apart from the security chaps telling us to go the long way round virtually everywhere !

An exercise in depth of field, or, just how far does F32 go when the focal point is only 3 inches from the lens ?

2012-06-06 at 22-45-05 by Biscuit761, on Flickr

About 2 inches is the answer !

Some of you may have sussed by now that if I can not get a chance to take a photo during the day its down to the "cave" with a macro lens and something small ...

We have a room with no windows, we call it "The Cave" if anyone wondered what I was on about :-)

Was going to go to the Pro-Tour Cycle Race in Colchester tonight but the weather was awful - until I got home and then it turned lovely ! Had to look for something else to photograph, I like the colour of the wall behind this plant at home, any idea on names ?

I like the mono shot best Bill, the textured background works well. Though not sure about the border and the bottom of the stem

Keep up the good work.

Not that one Trev, its more tree like than that, keeps looking dead and then another new leaf shoots up.
