72 hours in Ljubljana

Had to go on a quick work trip to Slovenia on Thursday morning. Interestingly little city, nice for a weekend break, not so good if you only have to go for a meeting.

Still, managed to get out a couple of times and grab some shots. Larger versions and basic descriptions available upon clicking.

The next ones were from the National Library of Slovenia, the purpose of my visit.

Most of the central area was pedestrianised - but you really had to watch the bikes. I might process a few more of the bike riders, but make a nice sub set.

@ Gordon. The last was in the National Library reading room at 7.15pm on Friday night - it appears these Slovenian students really know how to have a good time. It was considerably more old fashioned than our reading rooms - we went back at about 11p after our meal and I made some more shots - unfortunately the local wine had taken effect by then.

Some lovely compositions and nice use of slow shutter speeds. A great set, can't really pick a favourite

I really like the one of the river crossing with the green down lighting. Would be great to sit outside there supping a beer or eating a nice meal outside with that view.

Have to agree - great set of shots, and looks like a fantastic place to visit.

Really like the shot looking down the stairs of the library.

Great set - well done - I like the river shot a lot but think the group going down the steps is outstanding

Real quality Liquid. The old girl on the market stall, the market wide shot with its mix of movement and stillness, the old guy with the expanse of window and the ones inside the library are superb.
