First London, then Paris, now Glasgow.

Had an afternoon free so decided to try to get some picks of my home town. It was pouring on and off and I did consider just going shopping but I thought I don't get days off in Glasgow so I ought to have a go. I'm now working on some project and wanted to get images that were in my style as it were rather than lots of chocolate box Glasgow shots.

Here are a few from the ones processed so far.

This was me trying something new....it's a bit chocolate boxy...though....done with a new piece of software for the phone..."autostitch" If you go to my flickr you can see the full size one and Ive put notes on it to show the places of interest in the shot.
1

2
building on far left of panorama is the Armadillo hall

3
Two of the other buildings in the shot, The Science Museum

4 and 5
Couple of the Squinty Bridge that goes over the Clyde at Finnieston beside the big crane.

6
Kingston Bridge motorway section through city centre

7
Chap having a reading break in Borders

8
Famous statue that sits in front of the Museum of Modern Art in Glasgow. It permanently has a road cone on its head.

9
An artwork stained glass window in the MoMa. I presume the clear section is there by design rather than because someone smashed the glass.....I could be wrong...either way it allowed me to create my own little piece of art.

Got quite alot more. Some on flickr, some still to be processed......

Nice set Gordon - I'll pop over and vie the rest on Flickr - I "work" literally 2 mins walk from the "Squinty or Squiggly Bridge" and had been thinking about some shots - won't bother now

Hope you got a shot of the Donald Dewar Statue up at the Buchanan Galleries (with or without spectacles/and/or cone)

Re: First London, then Paris, now Glasgow.

No I ran out of time.....I never got to top of Buchanan St. Borders was the limit then it was down Gordon St to Hope St where there is a chippy I used to go to when I worked at StereoStereo in Glasgow...had a battered Pizza Supper for lunch....had to in order to get a photo of it as my non Scottish friends down in Surrey didn't believe such a culinary delicacy existed. mmmmmyum!

I've got some stuff to do Thursday for my folks but am going to try to get another load of shots then before I head back home.

Cheers\\Gordon

Re: First London, then Paris, now Glasgow.

Like the simplicity, lines and tones in #5....also like #7, but would have been really good if the legs and feet in the top right hand corner were not in the shot. All told a cracking set.

Great set Gordon. Love the panorama - amazing considering they are iPhone photo stitches.

Hi Gordon,
very good collections.
You take particulars that people generally don't see. Good
Of course iphone is not a professional reflex.
Best regards

Thanks for the compliment. You are right it's not a pro reflex...I'm glad my 5D stayed in boot of car that day as it would have been a pain to walk around for 2.5hrs in the rain carrying my 5D and lenses, tripod and back pack...with the little phone I could just stick it in my trouser pocket and walk on....

Might put some more up later
