RAF Waddington Airshow - 04.07.09 *updated*
A hot day produced plenty of heat haze, this combined with cloud made for tricky light at times, feedback welcome.

Re: RAF Waddington Airshow - 04.07.09
Love the RAF Falcons shot, really unusual angle that makes the shot stand out. The Nimrod R1 in black and white looks good too, nice to see ol Norman still screaming skywards, Hawk XX307 in the vertical is a nice flashback for me as well .. had a backseat trip in her when at Scampton.
Mate was supposed to go but decided not to attend when he heard the Vulcan wasnt going to fly ..

Re: RAF Waddington Airshow - 04.07.09
Hi you have got some good captures there, like the last Typhoon you can actually feel its power in the picture.
I agree shooting was tricky and most start up shots were messed up due to the heat haze. Also the clouds changed the lighting conditions from nice diffused light to harsh direct light form the sun.
All in all a good days fun shooting i would say

Very entertaining set, i think i prefer the glider stunt pic the best, just because that stunt in an non powered aircraft must be pretty tricky to do.

All really good shots there
Picks of the bunch are number 4 of the parachuting RAF members purely for the vibrant colour, and also number 15 because of the feeling of speed on take off.

Some really nice pics
I went to the show yesterday and I was really disappointed in the actual display
I love fast jet's especially Tornado's and they didnt have any.

Shots 4 7 and 18 are my fave
