Thanks: Gave 368, Got 584 | July 2009 Competition - Voting Here
Irony at its best this month, subject HOT HOT HOT and its been WET WET WET
Oh well, well done to all who managed to get in an entry
Thumbnail page is here to quickly check you haven't missed any.
As always a huge thank you to our sponsors for the prizes on offer HERE
The closing date for votes will be shown at the top of the poll and don't forget that all votes are public so no voting for yourself
Also if you have entered a picture then you are expected to vote, else all votes accrued by you will be disallowed Important
The last forums update now allows guests to also vote and obviously this doesn't log a user name against the vote.
For any other poll this wouldn't be an issue but as we don't allow forum members to vote for themselves in the competition then I'm having to treat the fact that guests can vote a little differently!
Therefore can I ask that if you are already a member of AVF to please log in before voting, to those who lurk on the forums and wish to vote then please feel free to register before voting, registration is free and you'll be joining an invaluable and fantastic community.
To that end, any instances of guest voting will be discounted, sorry.

Lots of good entries this month. I really liked tracymae's (lovely colours), goso's (awesome action shot) and RobDickinson's (lovely warm feel to it, and the bird makes it of course), but in the end I have opted for kBm!

I thought this month's topic was hard,hard,hard... (too hard for me!) and while there are, as usual, some great shots, those that really picked up the hot, hot, hot, theme for me were a little thin on the ground. And being old fashioned, for me the theme and its interpretation does count for a good proportion of my vote!
So it was down to kBm and existent.
But sorry kBm, you were very close to getting my vote......

Another month, another lack of entry from me, as I can't seem to take any photos that aren't of our new baby!
Loved KbM, Logrus's and Chubbster's entries, but Logrus's just pipped it for me.

Some fantastic entries this month. I found it very difficult just to pick my favourite three.
The shots from goso and parryade were fantastic, but I voted for kBm. I thought this photograph was superb.
Well done to everyone who entered.

First off, sorry for the theme I picked causing the bad weather
Didn't get an entry in for my own theme as I've been busy all month (so have hardly commented on entries either).
Glad to see so many good entries though - the standard of the comp here just gets better and better, which makes picking a winner harder each month..
Also good to see that the bad weather hasn't put people off from coming up with great entries - I must admit, I did have more than just the weather in mind when picking the theme.
Very difficult to pick a winner as there are so many great entries this month, including:
Parryade, tracymae, rich1, kBm, chubbster, Logrus, goso, RobDickinson Tontoshorse and jumpt_upmunky
Spent ages umming and arring over the entries, but went for goso in the end..

Special mention to:
tonkie. For getting an entry in when the weather was hot, hot, hot.
chubbster2005. Great idea, and wonderful effect and colours.
goso. Looks very hot, hot, hot to me, well captured.
But I decided to got for tontoshorse, lovely colours, and reminds be of hot, sunny, lazy holiday days.
Ian.

I must try and get an entry in! I was thinking of a red hot poker, the flower.
Tough choice, I particularly liked Parryade's effort, along with Goso, kBm, Chubbster and traceymae's.
Anyway, my vote goes to Tontoshorse - wish I was there!
