Decadence's pictures thread

I didn't think it was much use having some photo's stuck on my PC with nobody to look at them but myself. I am quite lazy with regard to learning things from books so maybe along the way with this thread you guys will be able to teach me a thing or two.

My camera is a humble Fujitsu S5500, it is the best I could get my wife to let me shell out on. I probably wouldn't understand anything on a more complicated machine.

These are a few of the backlog, now that I have fathomed out how to use photobucket, FinePixViewer and picasa, The only thing I have done to these two is crop and resize. They are two different shots, one slightly later than the other and cropped in a different way.

Let me know what you think?

Thanks in advance.

I agree, although I prefer the second one! You got any others to share...?

Thanks for the comments so far. I don't take many photo's, to be honest I should take more because I like thinking about what would make a nice picture. Here's one of my cats...a little dusty!

and a few I took this weekend in London...I took quite a lot whilst on The Eye but the reflection from inside the glass botched them up...maybe some of them would look better cropped but I haven't had a good look at them yet.

Tell you what, that night shot is sheer class and is like some of the better stuff available at pbase. Superb work...I like it a lot.

It has every kind of lighting you could want. Awesome!

Pete.

That one was quite tricky to take as I almost lost the camera! The hotel room window opened fully for some reason so I was able to balance the camera on a few Ribena cartons to lift it over the window sill height and take the shot, it was a bit of a wobbly setup! I was really scared of knocking it out of the window and sending it crashing to its doom!

It was a bit hazy last night, I tried to get a shot for the competition but failed...for some reason I am drawn to taking photos of telegraph poles!

I don't know why but they seem to make things stand out more...

The second sunset shot is pure class - the telegraph pole gives a real interest to the shot. Nice one!

I really like the first picture in post #6 and the sunset one that Zone is referring to is beautiful.

Re: Decadence's pictures thread

A few pictures of my boy...he's so cool...maybe they could do to be cropped or something but I kinda like them...
