printer(epson stylus c42 plus)

I have recently got a new PC but can't download a driver from epson site as my system keeps telling me that it isn't/may not be compatible with windows XP

My folks have got a c42 and it works fine on xp, cant remeber if I used a drivere disk but I thought that windows automatically loaded a driver for it when you connect the usb cable.

Agree with JohnS, I would try it without a driver disk as I know other Epson printers work fine on XP without.
