printer / ink problem

I took out the ink cartridges from the Epson Stylus 600 (God knows why) . After putting them back i can't get it to print anything (no ink flow I guess).

The printer goes through the motions but the paper comes out blank.

How can I get the ink to flow ?

Take them back out and give them a good shake.

But don't do that again.

They are prone to the ink becoming dry and clogging - do a self clean a couple of times and if it still dont work use some nail varnish remover on a ear bud to remove any gunk.
