Scanner with OCR

hi,
im looking for a scanner with opticle character recognition in the region of £100. we scan alot of images so i need to be of reasonable spec. but also it needs to be able to scan documents which can then have the text edited thru our PC. ive looked on various sites but am not too sure whats is best to go for, for the moeny. any help would be muchly apreaciated.

Ive got a Canon Lidescan 60 which Im very happy with both the photo scanning and the OCR. About £45 in PC World.

I second the recommendation for the Canon. Good for general scanning and the bundled OCR (usually Omnipage) works well too.

Omnipage is suppose to be the leading OCR software...

Implemented a couple of high end scanning solutions for a couple of banks in the past and Kofax Ascent Capture is the corporate choice, bit of a pricey beast though. if budget's are tight and your not scanning too much then the bundled Omnipage will do the trick, worth upgrading to the non free version if you get a discount voucher with your scanner though.
