Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

not only that, but pirates get to play with mods, dedicated servers and LEAN. at this rate i rather pay £25 to the creator of these hacks then to pay IW for a game that diddnt have these features to begin with.

right now, the pirates are getting a better product for free

it's not, it links to a thread about pirates

arrrr!

basically a group has managed, seemingly for the first time in the history of anything, ever, to crack the multiplayer aspect of a game

which never happens. ever.

until IW release some proprietary crap revolutionary software

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Overclockers forums have also made me aware that some hosts of the games on IW.net are receiving a trojan virus from nasty players with hacked versions of the game. Not sure i want to play the game anymore

Having loads of lag issues and the fact you spend more time in the lobby trying to connect to a game than actually playing is wearing very thin too.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The phrase "i told you so" springs to mind. Just over a week of being released it has been hacked and ripped to shreds by hackers./pirates.

Doesnt matter anyway because teh people who bought this game cant complain. they knew the limitations this game has and they knew p2p mulitplayer will fail on pc's yet you guys still buy it and some here complain about it.

This is the future of pc gaming because you guys have gave IW your money for this appoach and whos to say other companies wont follow suit?

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

That sounds a bit pompous, Jonney, I'm sure you didn't mean it.

I'm enjoying the game and have so far not had any problems with cheaters, but I've seen plenty of cheating on COD4 - even very recently.

Im with you mate. I have fun when im playing and I enjoy leveling myself up and unlocking things.

of course i wish there were didi servs but i knew aloong time ago they were gone so I knew what I was buying into.

It was never intended to replace my beloved red orchestra but it fufills its purpose as an awesome SP (short but breathtaking) and gives me some mindless run and gun pew pew action.

Do you all forget l4d had dedi servers when it came out ..

you mean lfd diddnt have dedi servers and thats another game i diddnt buy. But when the main focus of that game is 4 player coop then p2p should be fine. toss in the fact that MW1 had dedi servers and LFD was a brand new IP, that also needs to be taken into consideration.

i just pray and hope no other fps game uses p2p.
